Yes, the snowflakes will say that destroying the entire population of the planet Alderaan is not 100% politically correct, but you can't judge a long time ago by the standards of the present.

Irregardless of any planets he allegedly may have yes blown up, he did lot of good things for the Empire as well.

Who, after all, are the real Sith? The people who want to remove statues of the Sith, or the Sith?

Are the people who want to remove the statue of the Dark Lord Bristolians, born and bred unto the third generation, or did they come here from far, far away?

Will we also have to tear down all the statues of Ming the Merciless, Doctor Doom, Davros, Sauron, the Master and Lord Voldemort?

Will we also have to burn down every sweet shop which sells Dark chocolate? Will we have to destroy every copy of Dark Side of the moon?

People who forget history are condemned to repeat it and if we remove the statue of Darth Vader children will not understand that destroying planets with armoured battle stations is unacceptable.

Pathetic. Cancellation. Han Shot First. SJW. Free Speech. Woke.

This is an outrageous slander. Contemporary records clearly show that the destruction of Alderaan was Grand Moff Tarkin's policy, not Lord Vaders. Accounts are not entirely clear, but it seems that Vaders position on the subject was ambiguous, and he may have abstained on the vote.

  2. 'Will we also have to tear down all the statues of Ming the Merciless, Doctor Doom, Davros, Sauron, the Master and Lord Voldemort?'

Actually, the 20th century statue of the bearded, diablolic Master has been replaced by more modern elderly, clean-shaven, female, and South Asian versions before they settled for a genetic 'baddie' figure in a hooded cloak. This also allows for copies of Ringwraiths, Dark Wizards and other hooded villains to be made from the master-copy.

  3. And let's not forget that the terrorist insurgents responded to the destruction of Alderaan by blowing up the equivalent of a planet with the loss of probably tens of thousands of lives as well. Both Sides Do It.
