There's plenty of time though. Despite all the hype, this week they were just making sure the magnets were in aslignment and thy could thread a particle round the loop. It's not until they start colliding these large hadrons (I remain convinced that hadrosaurs should be involved) that the black holes will be formed and we'll all die.
