  2. Scarily, I've had better service from TalkTalk than I did from NTL (now Virgin) or BT. And yes, I know what I'm saying there (this is an ISP whose DNS servers go down roughly every ten minutes - a colleague of mine who's done some stuff in their head offices says their DNS server is actually on someone's desk...)

  3. You don't have to use your ISP's DNS servers. You can use OpenDNS. I can tell you no more, as I've never experimented with this myself.
