Was it just the fact that they don't watch anymore that annoyed you or was this information put to you in a sniffy way? I ask because I don't watch it anymore (I gave up up 3 weeks into the 2005 series, so maybe I never really watched it) and people seem to take the words "I don't watch Doctor Who" to mean "Please tell me what happened in last night's episode" or "Obviously, I watch a bit of it" or "I am a cold-hearted, unimaginative reactionary, please remonstrate with me".
