Look on the positive side, though: if it all goes horribly wrong and the scientists accidentally create a black hole the brings about the destruction of the entire universe, we won't have to listen to the "Torchwood" special.

  1. Sadly it wasn't in fact very good so I can't make any devastating rejoinder to that.

  2. Wasn't that (it not being very good) fairly predictable from the description 'by Joe Lidster'?

  3. There's plenty of time though. Despite all the hype, this week they were just making sure the magnets were in aslignment and thy could thread a particle round the loop. It's not until they start colliding these large hadrons (I remain convinced that hadrosaurs should be involved) that the black holes will be formed and we'll all die.

We could get some pitchforks and flaming torches and head up the the castle?

Tempting as incinerating the entire cast and writers might be at times, I feel we might give Torchwood one last chance first.

Although if they continue with their stunningly stupid plan to improve their ratings by turning dark and mysterious Captain Jack into lovable and jolly John Barrowman, I might join you.

In which event hopefully those hadrons will collide and do the job for us.
